Family friendly beautiful little park out of the mainstream of hurry up and wait, great place to cookout, camp, swim, hike, picnic, canoe or kayak you if like that sort of thing. Me, we like to go out and just sit in the river and enjoy the crystal clear river running slowly by; unless lots of rain occurs, then you MUST pay attention to your surroundings.

We found this place by just talking to the locals and one man drew us a map w/directions! I thought it might be a "Deliverance" moment, but my whole family was pleasantly surprised!

Beautiful natural area and great Visitor Center with the cutest stuffed animals for sale. I bought all of the kids and my husband a bull frogl

Second, you also cannot survive Cossatot Falls without tight-fitting water shoes. You will have to walk back upstream eventually, and being shoeless stinks.

Fourth, pick up your trash and take it with you. This place rocks and should remain beautiful, all year long!

First, the water is awesome, even in August! I highly encourage the purchase of the cheap $5 Wal-mart tubes and actually traverse the waterfalls with your family, as long as everyone is 12 and up. 11 and lower will require Daddy to position himself near the bottoms of each waterfall, which is actually difficult to do.

Nice camping spots in the Cossatot Falls area. Close to river and spaced far enough from other sites for some privacy. River was fun to walk around in since the water was low enough. Trails were nice and easy to follow.

Third, you need to take a waterproof camera to capture everything you can! There is a "cliff" at the end of the falls and everyone can jump from ledges approximately 12 feet, 18 feet, 25 feet and 35 feet tall! The water is bottomless under the cliff, so diving is safe!

Great place to bring the kids. Visitor center is awesome; our kids loved holding the turtles. Easy access to the river nearby, or drive about 5 miles to the day use areas and campgrounds. One of the most beautiful areas in Arkansas.
